Arabic:
ā, b, t, ṯ, ğ, ḥ, ḫ, d, ḏ, r, z, s, š, ṣ, ḍ, ṭ, ẓ, ʽ, ġ, f, q, k, l, m, n, h, w, y-ī-ū; à (alif maqṣūra); tā’ marbūṭa is translitterated only in the annexation; article al- (both “lunar” and “solar” consonants); ay, aw, ayy, iyy; li-; bi-; wa-.

New Persian:
